PFM attends Junior Achievement of BC Laureates Gala

PFM Executive Search is a proud supporter of Junior Achievement British Columbia’s Business Laureates program. The Business Laureates of BC Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding individuals who make equally outstanding contributions to the community; we hope to make outstanding contributions to our client’s organizations as well and are honoured to be a part of this remarkable program.

On May 16th, Junior Achievement of British Columbia (JABC) inducted two individual business leaders and one group into the Business Laureates of BC Hall of Fame for 2013: Dr. Norman B. Keevil, Hassan Khosrowshahi and the four co-founders of Phillips, Hager & North (Dick Bradshaw, the late Bob Hager, Dr. Rudy North and the late Art Phillips). The new members were formally inducted into the Hall of Fame at the eighth Annual Gala Dinner and Induction Ceremonies on May 16, 2013 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. These 2013 inductees have been chosen for their ability to direct their business education from the depths of their personal drive to sky-high global heights, while simultaneously developing industry backbone for BC.

As the Laureate Selection Sponsor, PFM Executive Search guided the nomination process. Co-presented by Scotiabank Group and Fasken Martineau, the gala evening included an elegant reception and dinner, commemorative videos produced by Oh Boy Productions, and an address from keynote speaker, Frank McKenna. Also present at last evening’s gala was His Royal Highness, the Duke of York, who congratulated the new Laureates and took time to meet privately with four young Junior Achievers who were each awarded $2500 scholarships for their oratory and presentation skills, honed through their experience with Junior Achievement. Proceeds from the gala ensure JABC builds upon being an influential, impactful leader in delivering business education, financial literacy and work-readiness programs to youth throughout BC.
