Director, Privacy & Information Services

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director, Privacy & Information Services provides strategic expertise related to the delivery of services under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIOPPA) and the Information Management Act (IMA). He/she/they is responsible for leading the Commission’s privacy, information access (FOI), complaints resolution and records management programs. The position also serves as the Commission’s liaison with the Office of the Ombudsperson.

The Director, Privacy & Information Services will be a recognized and respected knowledge leader as well as a seasoned team leader. They will bring a strategic and creative approach to developing and implementing privacy and information management strategies and initiatives. This will be coupled with an ability to roll up the sleeves and work in a complex, high-volume, multi-faceted environment. A solid relationship builder, the incumbent will have a track record of establishing solid working partnerships both internally and externally, in order to more effectively and efficiently find solutions to issues and challenges.
