BC Children's Hospital Foundation
Vice President, Business Intelligence & Information Technology

BC Children’s is the only hospital in the province devoted exclusively to the care of children—and the only hospital here with the expertise to treat the most serious, critical and complex conditions. As one of the top-ranked pediatric hospitals in the world, our expertise is what sets us apart from every other hospital in BC – and it’s why the most challenging conditions faced by kids are treated here. Simply put—there is no other place in the province that does what BC Children’s does. Our goal as the fundraising organization for BC Children’s is to ensure that through donor support, every child in the province has access to the best health care imaginable. Since 1982, our Foundation has been working to inspire people and communities to join our quest to conquer childhood illness and transform children’s health care. The generosity of donors helps change the lives of children and families today; from making new programs possible that are tailored to the medical, emotional and psychological needs of children, to purchasing the latest innovations in equipment and technology. Donor support is also what gives families new hope for tomorrow; helping shape what child health can become by fueling research and initiatives aimed at conquering and ultimately preventing childhood diseases.

Having recently embarked on a bold new strategic plan, BCCHF is building out their business intelligence function to effectively harness data, technology and digital strategies across the Foundation. In this newly created role, as the Vice President, Business Intelligence & Information Technology (VP, BI & IT), this individual will serve as a key member of the Executive Team at BCCHF, and will be responsible for the vision, strategy and advancement of the Foundation’s technology, research, analytics and business intelligence functions, in support of the Foundation’s ambitious fundraising target of doubling their current revenue.

Reporting to the President & CEO, the incumbent will be instrumental in building and enabling BCCHF to become a best-in-class, digitally enabled organization that leverages digital technology, connectivity and data to provide insights that power authentic connections, guide personalization, and build and strengthen relationships.

As the ideal candidate, you are a data-driven thinker with excellent quantitative skills and are a master of digital technologies and developments. You are a skilled problem solver and thrive on troubleshooting through observation, listening and asking questions. You aren’t just familiar with business intelligence tools and web analytics platforms, others consider you an expert in this area and consistently rely upon your ability to turn data into information that can be used to make sound business decisions.

This will be your ideal role if you are an essential thought partner with highly developed leadership skills including relationship and team building skills that will be leveraged as you build out this new team and enable them to do their best work.

Note: As an organization who advocates for child health, we have implemented a mandatory vaccination policy requiring that all employees who work for BCCHF must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Reasonable accommodations will be made upon request should there be a need for an exemption based on the BC Human Rights Code protected grounds; these will be reviewed and discussed on a case-by-case basis.
