Cascadia Credit Union is a member-owned financial co-operative rooted in community, connection, and care. It exists to help people thrive, providing personalized service, local decision-making, and values that put people before profits.
On July 1, 2025, Osoyoos, Revelstoke, and Summerland Credit Unions officially merged after several years of collaboration to form this new, united credit union built on shared values, local leadership, and a commitment to stronger, more sustainable communities. Today Cascadia’s 100+ staff provide a full suite of banking and investment services through its 6 branches, and is poised for continued growth.
Due to a planned retirement, an opportunity exists to take on the Chief Executive Officer role for this highly successful and respected credit union. The CEO provides visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure the long term growth, sustainability, and member focus of the credit union. Accountable to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for executing the organization’s mission, achieving financial performance objectives, managing and mitigating risk, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a strong, values-driven culture that reflects the cooperative and inherent values of the organization.
As the ideal candidate, you are a visionary, strategic leader who can think 5+ years ahead and confidently lead transformational change without compromising values, trust and stability. You provide strong, visible leadership that inspires confidence, creates clarity, and ensures accountability. You build a people centred culture rooted in empathy, listening, and high emotional intelligence, coupled with proven financial and operational acumen to lead a $1 billion dollar organization. Your financial services background and deep community knowledge allows you to support the growth and development of products that meet the needs of members, and you are adept at leveraging technology and data to design services that enhance member value. You have built and maintained strong relationships with regulators and boards, you live the values of the credit union movement, and you communicate and collaborate in ways that build trust, enable effective partnerships, and model openness, positivity, and professionalism.
In order to effectively ground yourself in Cascadia’s communities, you will ideally reside within the service area.
The hiring range for this position is $245,772 – $294,925 annually, supplemented by a total rewards package.[
