Director of Operations
Cascadia Windows & Doors (Cascadia) has cemented itself as the North American industry leader in energy efficient fiberglass construction product innovation and manufacturing. Established in 2008, when the dream of the most durable, reliable, and thermally efficient window possible led its founders – a group of building science specialists and window specialists – to form Cascadia, the company has continued to deliver new fiberglass solutions into the Pacific Northwest every year and specializes in windows, doors, and cladding support systems.
Cascadia invents, commercializes, and produces the most effective products ever available to reduce energy consumption in buildings. Its innovations are truly useful, technically sound products for the construction industry and take advantage of the fantastic characteristics of high-quality, pultruded fiberglass.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, in this newly created position, the Director of Operations is responsible for leading all 70 plus shop floor employees and increasing manufacturing productivity levels to facilitate the projected growth of Cascadia which averages 25% per year. The Director of Operations will utilize lean manufacturing methodology to attain new levels of throughput in a cost-effective manner, while maintaining a safe, rewarding work environment and delivering a high quality, timely product to the customer.
Working closely at a strategic level with the senior management team, the Director of Operations will share the responsibility of leading Cascadia into its next phase of revenue growth and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a progressive senior operational leader who is recognized for their general management, operational excellence, communication, and interpersonal skills. Employing a leadership style that fosters collaboration and demonstrating a track record of outstanding results in achieving plant efficiencies and resulting profitability, the Director of Operations will have proven planning, technical, financial, and Lean methodology implementation experience, gained within a similar custom production industry. They will be known and respected as an individual who pursues continuous improvement and whose successes are attributable to detailed planning, continuous operational advancements, and outstanding relationship skills.
This challenging position in a rapidly growing organization requires expert operational management and, ideally, previous experience leading an organization through significant expansion.
