Easter Seals BC & Yukon / BC Lions Society For Children with Disabilities
Chief Executive Officer
Our vision is to enable abilities in our communities and through Easter Seals programs and services, we aspire to make a difference in the lives of persons with disabilities. Over the years, we have helped improve access and mobility, housed families in need when they are required to travel for specialized medical care, and inspired generations of children and teens with disabilities at summer camp. With the help of communities across BC and Yukon, we work to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities of all ages through Easter Seals programs and services. Through special events, individual giving, corporate engagement, volunteerism and community support, Easter Seals programs and services are supported and work to improve independence, help address life’s challenges and support personal and family goals.
There is nothing greater in one’s career than to help inspire communities to support and enable access for individuals with disabilities. Here is a chance to apply all of your creativity and business acumen to lead an amazing group of staff and volunteers who are dedicated to a cause like no other. The new CEO of Easter Seals BC & Yukon will literally change the lives of countless families and be part of an organization which has been in place since 1952. Dedicated to providing programs and services to persons with disabilities that help build their self-esteem, self-confidence and sense of independence, this leadership role will ensure a sustainable model through engagement with stakeholders, partner groups and communities.
As the new CEO, you will help to reimagine and activate the key elements of a Strategic Plan as well as a 10 year Real Estate Plan that will ensure all the assets of the organization are utilized fully. You will bring proven experience in working effectively with a board and overseeing programs and community building for an evolving organization, as well as a solid track record in fund development. You will execute on a solid culture of achievement while modernizing systems to secure the future of the organization.
As the ideal candidate you bring a unique mix of career experience, skills and abilities within a not-for-profit context. You are known as an extraordinary leader committed to working in partnership to create a sustainable operation focused on future needs. The CEO will have the expertise to add immediate value to the reimagination and redevelopment of the Society’s physical assets into community hubs, and will ensure the success of a major capital campaign to redevelop our Shawnigan Lake Camp on Vancouver Island.
The selected candidate is a proven trailblazer who sees potential around every corner and knows how to actualize a shared vision. You are a coach and mentor of staff, a partner with a volunteer board and a person who knows how to steward an organization to the future while honouring the past.
