Director, Compliance

With an expanding mandate and requisite growth to meet the needs of learners and industry, ITA has created the inaugural role of Director, Compliance. This role is responsible for building ITA’s newly established Compliance department and roles within it. The Director will conceptualize and establish ITA’s Compliance framework, organizational structure, roles, responsibilities, processes, and KPI’s to ensure alignment with ITA’s mandate, Board and Executive direction.

The Director will provide leadership and direction to the newly established roles and team. and will work with the ITA’s Executive and Senior Leadership Team in the development, ongoing management and communication of the compliance functions for which ITA is responsible. The position will ensure understanding and alignment across the organization and will lead strategic projects and initiatives. Through an education to compliance model, the Director will lead a Compliance department that fosters, maintains and supports partnerships with ITA’s apprentices, sponsors, trades system partners and stakeholders to ensure understanding of ITA’s compliance framework and methods.

The Director will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight on the implementation, ongoing management and enforcement of Act and Regulations, programs and services within ITA. The Director will monitor and achieve compliance with the legislation and regulations. The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful leader who is known for their progressive management, relationship building and strategic foresight. The Director, Compliance will be a transparent and collaborative communicator, bringing a depth of experience building effective partner/stakeholder relationships both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have led multi-disciplinary professionals in a complex environment with exceptional results.
