Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President, the General Manager (GM), Marketing is accountable for the development and implementation of the organization’s retail marketing and brand strategy, with P&L accountabilities. It is the most senior marketing position in the organization. The GM will determine overall direction, manage the budget, lead the team, and ensure the success of ongoing London Drugs brand and marketing endeavors while safeguarding the organization’s stellar reputation as one of Western Canada’s most loved brands.

As the senior leader of the marketing department, the successful candidate will determine the best selection of marketing technologies, develop all advertising, promotion and marketing activities, coordinate with numerous internal and external stakeholder groups, and ensure the organization continues to stand out in a hyper-competitive market.

The incumbent will be a collaborative leader, a change agent, developing outstanding product and service solutions, and strengthening key customer relationships to assist London Drugs in its continued growth. The GM, Marketing will come up with strategic industry ground-breaking ideas while rolling up his/her sleeves to work with the operational leaders of the business to implement front line initiatives effectively across the company.

The GM, Marketing will have the educational credentials to back up his/her portfolio and will likely hail from a large, complex and respected B2C organization. The successful candidate will be analytical, tech savvy and broad thinking, bringing a wealth of knowledge and capabilities based on insight learned from contributing to the growth of a multi-store, consumer-focused organization.
