Reporting to the Senior Vice President & Managing Director, the Vice President, Human Resources & Special projects (VP, HR) is a key member of Primacorp’s senior leadership team and provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization’s HR operations. Responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals, the VP, HR will act as a trusted leader within the organization and ensure sound HR processes and policies are in place to enable the organization to fulfill its objectives.

The ideal candidate is a senior dynamic human resources professional with a true passion for the power effective human resources practices can have on operational excellence. The VP, HR will bring the ability to operate at a strategic level in support of the organization’s goals and operations as a whole, while at the same time being able to roll up their sleeves and dive into the day-to-day needs of the department. The incumbent’s experience ideally includes progressively senior roles within a complex, multi-location and multi-services environment, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in a fast-paced, ever-changing, entrepreneurial environment.

Focused on optimizing the human resources department as a true strategic business partner, the VP, HR brings a collaborative approach to working with the Executive and senior leaders across the organization. A critical thinker who is known for their ability to build solid relationships, the VP, HR is a dynamic voice at the leadership table and has a demonstrated track record of recruiting and retaining the best and brightest talent to their organization/s.

To be considered, candidates will ideally possess a bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resource Management, augmented by a CPHR designation, and 7+ years of progressive human resources management experience, ideally within a fast-paced, diversified, entrepreneurial environment. Experience working within an environment that has/had high recruitment targets is considered an asset, and experience working for a privately-owned company is preferred.
