The Saanich Peninsula Hospital serves the needs of a community of approximately 65,000 residents and is part of the Vancouver Island Health Authority. It has 58 acute care beds, 150 long-term care beds, a busy Emergency Department, and a Lab and Medical Imaging departments. In 1985, a group of concerned community members came together to establish what would ultimately become the Saanich Peninsula Hospital & Healthcare Foundation (the Foundation). The generosity of donors and their understanding of how important healthcare is to a community has contributed to the success of the Foundation, which has raised $65 million since its inception. 

The President & CEO is responsible for the successful leadership and operational management of the Foundation according to the strategic direction and governance standards approved by the Board of Directors. The President & CEO develops organizational strategy, implements sound practices and builds relationships, both internally and externally to ultimately inspire support and help the Foundation achieve its vision. The President & CEO’s accountabilities include setting the vision collaboratively with the Board; inspiring and coaching the Foundation’s small team; developing and executing the overall strategy; and overseeing all organizational and operational aspects of the Foundation including philanthropic initiatives, finance, marketing and communications, community outreach, administration, IT and HR management.

You are a caring spirit who can rally internal resources and external partners to have surprisingly significant outcomes for a small organization.
