Based in Vancouver, St Paul’s Foundation is one of British Columbia’s preeminent foundations. With the excitement of the new Jim Pattison Medical Campus, the first of its kind in Canada, the Foundation is well poised to support the redevelopment of St. Paul’s Hospital and a new Research Centre on the site, Providence Health Care’s 17 hospitals and care sites across BC, and Providence Living’s long-term care homes. The new Medical Campus will promote innovation, research, and incredible patient-centred care for the people of British Columbia and beyond.

An incredible leadership opportunity to impact healthcare and research across BC has emerged. As the President and CEO, you will have the opportunity to lead one of the most successful health foundations in the country and will be responsible for working with the Board to establish a vision for the organization that meets the changing and crucial revenue needs of Providence Health Care, Providence Living and Providence Research. You will develop organizational strategy, execute effective practices, and build relationships to support innovative, compassionate care and leading-edge research across all the entities the foundation supports, by building on the huge fundraising successes the Foundation has been able to achieve.

The Foundation is seeking an impressive leader who has an outstanding reputation and who is known for building authentic relationships with diverse groups including donors, healthcare leaders, government partners and a Board of Directors. In addition, they will be an exceptional leader of people who can rally internal resources and external partners to achieve highly aspirational philanthropic goals. Supporting a multi-faceted health organization that includes health service delivery, research and long-term care, the CEO must be able to connect with the unique donor bases for whom Providence’s programs and services truly resonate.

As the ideal candidate, you bring a successful track record of driving for growth in a corporate or philanthropic environment and have a passion for healthcare and an alignment with the Foundation’s vision, mission, and values. You have demonstrated abilities in successfully overseeing operations and are able to formulate, articulate and translate the vision of an organization. You are empathetic and highly relational in your approach, and have solid business acumen to allow the Foundation to reach its revenue targets in a sustainable way.
