This is an incredible opportunity to join one of Canada’s most iconic organizations. The Vice President, Development and Investment (the VP) is a newly created senior role within Jim Pattison Developments, the real estate arm of JPG, which currently owns and manages approximately 300 income-generating properties totalling over 14 million square feet, including 36 grocery-anchored shopping centres, and has a number of undeveloped land holdings. Reporting to the Managing Director of Corporate Finance, this role is responsible for leading the execution of large, complex mixed-use, retail and industrial development projects. In addition, the VP will work with the Managing Director on real estate investment strategies, including reviewing the existing portfolio and looking for new opportunities. As an integral service to the Jim Pattison Group’s various operating divisions, the VP will provide real estate counsel and expertise to colleagues throughout the organization. The successful candidate will be a key leader within Jim Pattison Developments with the opportunity for further career advancement in the future.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned real estate professional with an impeccable track record in leading large scale mixed use, commercial or industrial developments. Investment experience would also be a significant asset. He or she understands all aspects of the development process and is capable of applying a professional development management approach to large, complex projects. The VP is a team player who can roll up their sleeves and dive into the work, and is proven at multi-tasking and delivering on multiple deadlines within budget. He or she is an excellent communicator and is known for their interpersonal skills and ability to present to a wide range of audiences. The VP has strong financial and analytical skills, including risk assessment.
