Allison Rzen, Partner and Jock Finlayson, Executive Vice President at Business Council of British Columbia
PFM Executive Search had the pleasure of hosting over 160 senior executives at the Fairmont Pacific Rim for our annual PFM Economic Outlook Breakfast. Jock Finlayson, Executive Vice President of the Business Council of British Columbia, was the guest speaker and he provided tremendous insight and perspective to those in attendance. A key point of positivity within Jock’s economic forecast was the fact British Columbia is the bright spot in Canada with economic growth continuing to outpace the rest of Canada and therefore the province will see healthy employment growth. As Jock noted, BC should finish 2016 at a GDP growth rate of 2.7% and 2017 should be around 2.6% while the Canadian economy will be less than 2% at best.
With a focus on provincial, national and international economic indicators, Jock’s presentations provide valuable takeaways for our senior executive attendees. PFM Executive Search was thrilled, as always, with a tremendously successful event that connects senior leaders within an informative environment.
