PFM Executive Search is excited to announce that Fraser Work has been appointed as Director, Engineering & Public Works, at the City of Victoria filling a position left vacant when Dwayne Kalynchuk retired in the spring. Fraser grew up in Vancouver and pursued a career in the military, working his way up to a Commander, Naval Engineer in the Royal Canadian Navy. Along the way he completed his Mechanical Engineering Degree, a Masters of Marine Engineering from the University of London, and is currently finalizing his Masters in Sustainability & Environmental Management through Harvard University. In his final position with the Canadian Navy Fraser was in charge of the largest and most complex engineering project in their recent Halifax Class warship revitalization program. Fraser starts with the City on October 21st and brings a diverse skillset in leadership, systems engineering, project management, collaboration, sustainability and community engagement.
