Nancy has worked within all levels of government – municipal, provincial, federal and international – and therefore brings to the Local Government Management Association (LGMA) and its members a truly unique and broad perspective of the issues facing its members. Most recently, Nancy held the position of Director of International Marketing for the Government of British Columbia where she was instrumental in building and executing the province’s International Marketing Strategy. She has held diverse portfolios ranging from homelessness, mental health and addictions on a local level to international development in developing countries. Nancy started her career as an International Fisheries Manager with the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans and parlayed that experience into progressively more senior roles with the UN, various intergovernmental agencies, and the City of Victoria.
The LGMA provides mentoring, education, professional development, networking and team building to leaders in local government across British Columbia, thereby supporting the development of strong, innovative and highly livable municipalities in the province.
