PFM Executive Search is very pleased to announce that Nelson Chan will be joining the Capital Regional District (CRD) as Chief Financial Officer in August 2016.

Prior to joining the CRD, Mr. Chan served as Director of Finance for Canada Post Corporation where he was responsible for corporate planning and controllership activities, strategic investment, and related financial activities. He also served as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Canada Post Pension Plan, the largest single employer sponsored pension plan in Canada.
Mr. Chan has experience in both the public and private sectors and is regarded as a collaborative, action-oriented leader and change driver with a refined business acumen. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) / Certified Management Accountant (CMA) who holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.
As Chief Financial Officer for the CRD and CRHD, Mr. Chan will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the Board of Directors and the finance, audit, and investment committees of the board.
