PFM Executive Search is excited to announce the appointment of Phillipa Stanaway as the new Registrar for the Applied Science Technology and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC)! Phillipa commenced her employment on September 21, 2020.
A lawyer by background, Phillipa is a senior executive leader with a rich career path that has allowed her to gain expertise in legal, regulatory, communications, government relations and leadership areas.
Phillipa joins ASTTBC from the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia, as Registrar and CEO, where she demonstrated a results-driven approach to the College’s public protection mandate under the Health Professions Act. She provided advice and policy recommendations to the College’s board of directors and committees and facilitated the development and implementation of the five-year strategic plan. Phillipa has built relationships in inter-agency meetings, negotiations, and communications regarding controversial issues and has also navigated the College through concurrent media, government relations, and stakeholder relations issues with demonstrable results.
Prior to her role as Registrar and CEO of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia, Phillipa was Deputy Registrar and Director, Investigations, where she developed and implemented various procedures that improved organizational performance. Phillipa established and coached a diverse team of staff, which resulted in a friendly, desirable workplace where employees were driven by values such as excellence in public service.
