Darlene MacKinnon – Vice President, Coastal Community of Care – Vancouver Coastal Health

PFM Executive Search is excited to announce that Darlene MacKinnon has accepted the role of Vice President, Coastal Community of Care with Vancouver Coastal Health, effective April 25th.

Darlene brings with her vast experience in healthcare from across Canada. She has worked for the Nova Scotia Health Authority, Fraser Health Authority, Providence Health Care, and most recently Provincial Health Services Authority. She has worked in acute care, residential care, long term care and paramedics as well as a history of working with communities, First Nations and municipal governments to improve access to health care. Darlene completed her Master of Health Administration at the University of British Columbia and her Bachelor of Science at Dalhousie University.

Sukh has an outstanding leadership, business development, and customer relationship management background, and will be putting his talents to work in supporting the mission of St. John Ambulance.

Marcia Turner – Associate Vice-President, Indigenous Education and Engagement – Vancouver Island University

Marcia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, drawing from 25 years of working with a diverse range of organizations at the community, provincial, national, and international levels. Her career has included positions with public agencies, non-profit organizations, governments, and post-secondary institutions. In addition to her extensive administrative and post-secondary experience, Marcia brings a deep understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing, as well as guiding Indigenous concepts into organizational systems. She believes in the transformative power of education and her values, stemming from the teachings of various elders and chiefs, include the importance of authenticity, honouring traditions, and respect for diversity.
