PFM Executive Search strives to make an impact at the community level by supporting a diversity of organizations that make a difference. During the holiday season, PFM was proud to volunteer at the Powell Street Getaway, which is also known as the Living Room Activity/Drop-in Centre.
The Powell Street Getaway is a resource centre for adults in the downtown east side who have serious mental illness, mental or physical disabilities. The centre offers a safe environment and a range of programs and services, including computer and camera clubs, meditation, skill development and education groups. Meals are also offered daily.
We all know that the holidays can be a very difficult and challenging time for many. To show our admiration and support for the amazing work The Powell Street Getaway is doing for the local community, the entire PFM staff recently visited the centre. Staff got involved in preparing gifts, wrapping presents, sorting donated clothing and prepping food for the holiday season.
PFM was delighted to volunteer and show our support for this initiative, and we wish everyone at the Powell Street Getaway a safe and happy new year!

This Fall, we were proud to support Dress for Success Vancouver. Since 1997, Dress for Success has served more than 1,000,000 women around the world. Their mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
To show our admiration and support for the amazing work Dress for Success is doing for women in the community, we recently held a clothing drive in the office, and received donations not only from PFM staff but also from other colleagues, clients and friends of the firm. The PFM team taped up the last remaining box of clothing items donated, and delivered these to the Dress for Success offices.
To further our support, Donna Cantrill (Chair, PFM Social Impact Committee) and Sarah Currie (Member, PFM Social Impact Committee) were pleased to attend the Dress for Success Luncheon held at the Fairmont Pacific Rim. This was a truly inspiring event, and it was fantastic to celebrate so many women who have achieved success through the program. PFM was also pleased to provide a $500 donation to the program, which we hope will make a significant impact in one or two women’s lives.
PFM was delighted to support this initiative, and we wish everyone involved in the Dress for Success program all the success in the world!
