Sukh Salh – Director, Business Development – St. John Ambulance

Sukh brings decades of business development leadership to St. John Ambulance.  Most recently, he has been an entrepreneurial leader – starting up and running Blue Bins, a company focused on providing key supplies to the moving industry.  Prior to that, Sukh’s roles have included key account sales and management in transportation, logistics, and courier services. Sukh has an outstanding leadership, business development, and customer relationship management background, and will be putting his talents to work in supporting the mission of St. John Ambulance.

Char Paul – Vice President, Finance and Executive Financial Officer – BC Assessment

PFM Executive Search is excited to announce that C Assessment has promoted Char Paul as it’s new Vice President, Finance and Executive Financial Officer (EFO).

Char joined BC Assessment in 2006 and she has provided leadership on complex financial matters, worked with ministry officials on navigating submissions through Treasury Board and provincial Cabinet, and supported the Board of Directors’ with trusted information to make the best governance and strategic decisions for the organization and the taxpayers of BC.  Prior to BC Assessment, Char has spent considerable time in public sector Crown agencies delivering financial and regulatory services including financial and business planning, analysis and decision support, regulatory and performance reporting, internal control, enterprise risk management, and audit.

Char is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA) and holds a MBA in Executive Management from Royal Roads University.

Marcia Turner – Associate Vice-President, Indigenous Education and Engagement – Vancouver Island University

PFM Executive Search is excited to announce that Marcia Turner has accepted the role of Associate Vice-President, Indigenous Education and Engagement with Vancouver Island University, effective July 18th, 2022.

Marcia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, drawing from 25 years of working with a diverse range of organizations at the community, provincial, national, and international levels. Her career has included positions with public agencies, non-profit organizations, governments, and post-secondary institutions. In addition to her extensive administrative and post-secondary experience, Marcia brings a deep understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing, as well as guiding Indigenous concepts into organizational systems. She believes in the transformative power of education and her values, stemming from the teachings of various elders and chiefs, include the importance of authenticity, honouring traditions, and respect for diversity. David Alexander – University Librarian – Vancouver Island University

PFM Executive Search is excited to announce that David Alexander has accepted the role of University Librarian with Vancouver Island University, effective April 19th, 2022.

David brings 12 years of exceptional, relevant experience from his service with the Royal BC Museum, where he most recently served as Acting Vice President of Collections and Research. In this role, he oversaw a broad portfolio including preservation of and access to the provincial museum, archives, and library collections; partnerships; Indigenous engagement and repatriation; research and registration; conservation; and digitization services.
