Surrey Police Service is seeking a highly experienced police officer to fill the role of Deputy Chief Constable for its Investigative Services Bureau. The Deputy will lead a team of Police Officers and Police Professionals in tackling wide-ranging investigative challenges in Surrey.

Reporting to the Chief Constable, the Deputy is responsible for providing leadership for major crime investigations, including, frontline investigative support, serious crime services, special investigations, drugs crime, targeted enforcement, proactive enforcement, crime analysis, property crime, cyber crime, and digital forensics. The Deputy will play a key role on the Executive Leadership Team, which includes the Deputy Chief Community Policing and the Deputy Chief Support Services.

The ideal candidate will have a successful senior policing career focused on investigative services, including significant experience conducting complex investigations, managing organized crime files, leading covert operations, and managing prolific offenders. Their advanced knowledge of law enforcement, public safety issues/trends, legislation, and public safety policy enable their success in this role. Team Commander experience is an asset. Their leadership is inclusive, and team based. They have a proven record of fostering positive relationships with diverse communities, internal stakeholders, and external partners to promote community safety.

The targeted salary range for this position is $224,690- $264,324 annually, supplemented by a
