The Fraser Basin Council (FBC) is a charitable non-profit society that advances sustainability solutions and practices throughout BC through strategic convening, facilitation, education and program management. FBC’s vision is for social well-being supported by a vibrant economy and sustained by a healthy environment.
FBC is embarking on a critical search for their next CEO. After decades of supportive leadership from their outgoing CEO, FBC is looking to bring a new senior leader into the organization and continue the important work at hand. Reporting to the FBC Board, the CEO plays an executive leadership role in the development and implementation of the goals of the organization as set forth in FBC’s Five-Year Strategic Plan, and in furtherance of FBC’s vision and mandate. Working collaboratively with the FBC Board of Directors, the CEO ensures FBC’s operations, strategies, planning, policy development, finances, fund development, communications, human resources, and infrastructure are effectively implemented across all segments of the organization.
The ideal candidate brings proven ability in convening multi-sectoral partners to achieve best in class programmatic results. The candidate will bring positive and productive relationships across the four orders of government in BC, and have outstanding relationship-building, interpersonal and communication skills. They have demonstrated an ability to work collaboratively with a variety of audiences to enhance and heighten the capacity and recognition of Fraser Basin Council and the services it provides to the broader community while creating an internal environment of trust and respect. In addition, they bring a deep understanding of BC’s diverse geographic landscape and are known as a strong collaborator, community builder and administrator, with a track record securing sustainable funding. Ideally, the candidate will have run all aspects of an organization and worked closely with Boards of Directors to guide strategy development and set priorities.
The targeted salary range for this position is $180,000 – $200,000 annually, supplemented by a competitive total rewards package. Consideration will be given to the candidate’s background and experience when establishing the final salary.
