For more than 40 years, Lions Gate Hospital Foundation has been the philanthropic partner supporting Lions Gate Hospital and publicly funded health care services across the North Shore. Over the past decade, through the generosity of donors, volunteers, healthcare professionals, and community leaders, the Foundation has raised and invested more than $200 million in advancing patient care, medical innovation, education, technology, and critical health care infrastructure. With the upcoming retirement of its current CEO, the Foundation is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as its next President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is a unique opportunity to lead one of British Columbia’s most successful health care foundations and help shape the future of health care for more than 270,000 residents across the North Shore and surrounding communities.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO provides strategic, operational, and philanthropic leadership for the Foundation. As the organization’s chief ambassador, the CEO works closely with donors, healthcare professionals and administrative leadership, volunteers, government partners, and community stakeholders to advance the Foundation’s mission and ensure continued investment in health care. The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of the Foundation’s strategic vision, strengthen and expand philanthropic support, foster meaningful partnerships, support effective governance, and inspire a team committed to innovation and community impact. Through thoughtful stewardship and strong leadership, the CEO will continue to position the Foundation for aspirational growth and influence in a rapidly evolving health care environment.

The ideal candidate is a respected and relationship-focused executive who combines strategic leadership with a genuine passion for improving health outcomes and strengthening communities. They will bring senior leadership experience gained in the not-for-profit, health care, philanthropic, or corporate sectors, and they have achieved results that extend beyond the traditional scope of their role. They are recognized for taking on challenges that exceed expectations, building high-performing teams, and delivering sustainable organizational growth through influence, collaboration, and execution. An exceptional communicator with strong business acumen, the successful candidate will be comfortable engaging with diverse audiences, including donors, volunteers, Board members, healthcare professionals and leadership, government representatives, and community leaders. Above all, they will be an authentic, values-driven leader whose integrity, vision, and commitment to serve and support the Foundation’s mission of transforming health care through the power of philanthropy.
