PFM Executive Search is thrilled to share the news that after an extensive search, Anita Handregan has been appointed as the next CEO & Registrar of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC), effective April 15, 2026.
Anita is joining the organization following a progressive career with the BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA), where she was the Vice President of Regulatory Services. She has significant leadership experience in both the public and private sectors, with a focus on education, assessment, accreditation, and strategic partnerships. Anita holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, as well as a master’s degree in Adult Education and Human Resources from Colorado State University.
Anita is delighted to join the team, noting: “I am honored to take on this role at the AIBC, an organization that plays a vital part in maintaining trust in the architectural profession and regulating in the public interest.
