PFM Executive Search is excited to announce that Marcia Turner has accepted the role of Associate Vice-President, Indigenous Education and Engagement with Vancouver Island University, effective July 18th, 2022.
Marcia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, drawing from 25 years of working with a diverse range of organizations at the community, provincial, national, and international levels. Her career has included positions with public agencies, non-profit organizations, governments, and post-secondary institutions. In addition to her extensive administrative and post-secondary experience, Marcia brings a deep understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing, as well as guiding Indigenous concepts into organizational systems. She believes in the transformative power of education and her values, stemming from the teachings of various elders and chiefs, include the importance of authenticity, honouring traditions, and respect for diversity.
