Mary Polak – Chief Executive Officer – BC Care Providers Association

PFM Executive Search is excited to announce that Mary Polak has accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer with the BC Care Providers Association effective July 2nd 2025.

“Polak brings a wealth of experience in government and public affairs, having spent nearly 25 years in elected office at both the municipal and provincial levels. She served as MLA for Langley for almost 15 years and held several key cabinet portfolios, including Minister of Health, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, and Minister of Environment, among others. During her time in office, Polak was well-recognized for her thoughtful and hard-working approach that helped shape many successful public policies and programs that the province benefits from today. Years after her time in politics, Polak remains an active voice, regularly appearing on political panels and talk shows.” (BCCPA announcement)

Wendi Campbell – Chief Executive Officer – JA British Columbia (JABC)

PFM Executive Search is pleased to announce that Wendi Campbell has accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer with JA British Columbia (JABC) effective October 15th/2024.

Wendi has built an impressive career spanning over 30 years, taking on a variety of leadership roles. As a Chartered Professional Accountant, she has served Audit and Tax clients, led internal teams in Human Resources and Marketing, and for the past decade, she has focused on national Strategy and Markets with KPMG.

Beyond her professional achievements, Wendi has been deeply involved in her community. She has served on the boards of the BC/Yukon Region of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the Vancouver International Marathon Society. Wendi is a longtime supporter of JABC and is committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people across British Columbia.

Sandra Phillips – Chief Executive Officer – Modo

PFM Executive Search is excited to announce that Sandra Phillips has accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer with Modo effective October 1st/2024.

Sandra has been an international leader in shared and urban mobility since 2010, making a significant impact through her leadership and vision. She’s been involved in over 80 global projects, all of them aimed at building healthier communities by expanding transportation options and reducing reliance on private car ownership.

Sandra’s contributions to shared mobility have earned her a TED talk, a Clean50 award, and the 2021 Change Maker Award from BCBusiness. She’s also been recognized as a Shared Mobility Expert by the Canadian Council of Academies and is a part-time lecturer at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Annette Garm – Chief Executive Officer – Care BC

Annette brings a wealth of leadership experience in health and community-based care and has served in multiple senior clinical and administrative leadership positions in culturally diverse rural and urban settings.

Much of her professional work has focused on improving the care of vulnerable and marginalized communities while amplifying the voices of patients, their families and caregivers through skillful advocacy.

Annette is committed to the importance of cultural respect in health and social care and the principles of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Having worked with Indigenous communities in BC and the NWTs, Annette is informed in Indigenous Cultural Safety. Her work and perspective honour collective cultures and history and she is committed to the respectful engagement of all in the delivery of health and social care of vulnerable and at-risk populations. As a community builder who has successfully proven innovation in person-centered care, Annette has a history of empowering organizations to foster positive transformation. Annette’s arrival at Care BC marks a new chapter in Care BC’s journey.
