PFM Team Completes First Aid Training with St. John’s Ambulance

PFM Executive Search strives to make an impact at the community level by supporting a diversity of organizations that make a difference. In April 2019 as part of our Spring Social Impact Initiative, the PFM staff were excited to spend a full day completing the Level A CPR/AED first aid certificate course with St. John’s Ambulance.

All PFM staff were eager to learn and were very pleased to have obtained important life skills by the end of the course, such as conducting CPR, using an AED, effectively applying bandages, etc. These new skills can help the many clients and candidates that walk through our doors, as well as our own staff inside and outside of the office. PFM now feels better equipped to handle emergency situations if they arise.

Thank you, St. John’s Ambulance, for the invaluable education and for providing essential community services!

PFM Team Volunteers with Chalmers Lodge

PFM Executive Search strives to make an impact at the community level by supporting a diversity of organizations that make a difference. In December 2018, as part of our Winter/Christmas Social Impact Initiative, PFM was proud to volunteer at Chalmers Lodge located in South Granville in Vancouver. Chalmers Lodge is an assisted living facility with 90-100 senior residents.

We all know that Christmas can be a very difficult and challenging time for many. To help spread some Christmas cheer, fourteen PFM Staff visited Chalmers Lodge in early December to write Christmas cards, decorate gingerbread cookies, and sing Christmas Carols with the residents. A lot of festive fun was had by all!

PFM was delighted to volunteer with the senior residents of our community and we wish everyone at Chalmers Lodge a wonderful Christmas and a safe and happy new year!

PFM Team Volunteers with The KidSafe Project Society

PFM Executive Search strives to make an impact at the community level by supporting a diversity of organizations that make a difference. In August 2018, as part of our Summer/Fall Social Impact Initiative, PFM was proud to volunteer at The KidSafe Project Society’s Baseball Tournament and Carnival Day at an elementary school in south Vancouver. Thirteen PFM staff were thrilled to participate in the day by assisting with baseball games, skills challenges and carnival games, which the kids (about 300-350 in total) thoroughly enjoyed.

The KidSafe Project Society provides vulnerable inner-city children with a safe haven during school breaks, at a time when they may not have access to healthy food and much interaction with others. KidSafe provides nutritional meals and activity programs for kids when schools are traditionally closed.

PFM was delighted to volunteer and show our support for the amazing work KidSafe is doing for our local community, and wishes the team there and all the kids they support a happy summer!

PFM Team Volunteers at Powell Street Getaway

PFM Executive Search strives to make an impact at the community level by supporting a diversity of organizations that make a difference. During the holiday season, PFM was proud to volunteer at the Powell Street Getaway, which is also known as the Living Room Activity/Drop-in Centre.

The Powell Street Getaway is a resource centre for adults in the downtown east side who have serious mental illness, mental or physical disabilities. The centre offers a safe environment and a range of programs and services, including computer and camera clubs, meditation, skill development and education groups. Meals are also offered daily.

We all know that the holidays can be a very difficult and challenging time for many. To show our admiration and support for the amazing work The Powell Street Getaway is doing for the local community, the entire PFM staff recently visited the centre. Staff got involved in preparing gifts, wrapping presents, sorting donated clothing and prepping food for the holiday season.

PFM was delighted to volunteer and show our support for this initiative, and we wish everyone at the Powell Street Getaway a safe and happy new year!
